Opening Reception: THIS Thursday, February 28 | 7:30-9:00pm
Lunch & Look with Cathy Mattes: Friday, March 1 | 12noon

Please join us for the opening reception of two new exhibitions by Métis visual artist Amy Malbeuf this Thursday evening, beginning at 7:30pm. There will be beverages and appetizers, as well as a very special performance by the Sweet Medicine Singers.

tensions is an exhibition of tarps, bison hide, caribou hair, rabbit fur, beading, bear grease, inheritance, and quiet resistance. Embracing a deeply personal connection to materials and process, Malbeuf presents a nuanced portrait of Métis familial ties.

à la façon du pays (in the custom of the country) is a new work by Malbeuf that honours her family's history. This is the final project in the AGSM Billboard on Rosser Avenue series.
