The University of Winnipeg is pleased to invite the public to a reading by Alice Major on Wednesday, March 20, at 5:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Helen Betty Osborne building at 511 Ellice Avenue in Room 2E40. The second floor is accessible by elevator. Ms Major will be introduced by Winnipeg's Poet Laureate, Di Brandt. This event is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome.

Canadian writer Alice Major has published eleven volumes of poetry, two novels for young adults, and a collection of essays about poetry and science. Her work has won prestigious awards in all three genres. Her latest book, Welcome to the Anthropocene, explores the role of humans in the natural world in new poems that sparkle with intelligence and wit.

All three of Ms Major's events in Winnipeg are made possible by the support of the Canada Council for the Arts and the League of Canadian Poets.
