West End Cultural Centre: Winterruption, January 22 - 25

The West End Cultural Centre is thrilled to announce the first annual Winterruption on January 22-25, 2020. In partnership with Real Love Festival, the Good Will Social Club, and X-Cues Billiards we're excited be presenting 22 artists in 9 shows at 4 venues around the West End.

Spurred on by the success of similar events in Saskatoon, Regina, Swift Current, and Edmonton, Winterruption is an effort to give Winnipeggers a great reason to leave their houses in the dead of winter. WECC Artistic Coordinator Jorge Requena Ramos said it best, "At a time when it's easy to just hibernate in your home away from the winter deep-freeze, our goal is to bring Winnipeggers out to the West End community for a weekend of great music at four of Winnipeg's best music venues."

Headlining this year's Winterruption are Thunder Bay's pop sensation Coleman Hell, violin & loop-pedal artist Hannah Epperson, local upstart Heidi Wright, MC & Singer/Songwriter Leonard Sumner, ambient dream-folk artist Jon Bryant, Toronto-based electro-pop artist Prince Innocence, and 1/3rd of the local hiphop trio 3peat, Dill The Giant. Also on the bills that weekend are Alex Maher, Atlaas, Ed Riley, Evangeline, Gentile, Flamenco Sketch, Fowler, JayWood, Josh Hyslop, Lana Winterhalt, Nick Sherman, Rihana Rae Saj, Sir Louie, The Emu & Domo 11, and Urban Vacation.
