Gas Station Arts Centre: A Cabaret for Caring and Community: FRESH Gala Fundraiser, March 7

With International Women's Day coming up March 8… the perfect day to launch a fundraiser that supports caring and community is the day before…

S4S presents the FRESH Gala Fundraiser, an art auction and cabaret that has two parts. The art auction kicks off February 13 with the first opportunity to view nearly 30 pieces of artwork donated by some of Winnipeg's best visual artists. The silent auction begins that night and continues until March 7, with artwork on display in the front lobby of GSAC.

On Saturday, March 7, the FRESH Gala Fundraiser will see the final bidding of the art auction take place during a cabaret-style evening of entertainment co-hosted by comedian and actor Kevin MacDonald, and local independent dance artist and choreographer Paula Blair. Ten highly talented local performers are donating their time and skills to the cabaret, ensuring an unforgettable evening of art and entertainment. The theme of this year's gala is FRESH, with all artists interpreting this theme in their own way.

Tickets for FRESH are $40, with proceeds going to Klinic Community Health and the Gas Station Arts Centre. Tickets are available ONLINE NOW or in-person at the GSAC box office (445 River Avenue).

S4S was born out of four local artistic women, sitting in a living room drinking red wine and deciding it was time for a new fundraiser that would support both GSAC and local organizations that support community and gender equality. The meaning of S4S is Support4Support, Sharing4Sharing, Strength4Strength, Sister4Sister, Salvation4Salvation, Security4Security, etc. It represents community and caring.
