KULTIVATION FESTIVAL : Accepting submissions of art to be curated into three exhibitions, Submission Deadline May 1

KULTIVATION FESTIVAL

Kultivation is a Filipino-Canadian movement that celebrates Filipinos who contribute to modern culture in Winnipeg. Growing up, we were taught to believe that we needed to be one thing in order to be successful — but not anymore. Filipinos are resilient and find success in whatever path they follow.

Open to all Filipino/a/x identifying art collectives, artists, photographers and creatives.

We are accepting submissions of art to be curated into three different exhibitions:

1. Group Exhibition, March 2020 - Works selected will be based on space available. Minimum 4 - Maximum 12 artists. Artists must have completed/framed artwork available by Monday, March 2. Artists may present works available for the public to purchase. Artists may choose to donate a portion of their sales to Kultivation Festival's Art Committee to be used for additional promotion and exhibition costs. Deadline to submit: February 25, 2020.

2. Photo Exhibition, March 2020 - Works selected will be based on space available. Minimum 4 - Maximum 12 artists. Artists must have completed/framed artwork available by Monday, March 2. Artists may present works available for the public to purchase. Artists may choose to donate a portion of their sales to Kultivation Festival's Art Committee to be used for additional promotion and exhibition costs.

Deadline to submit: February 25, 2020.

3. Curated Show, June 2020 - This exhibition may be based on one or more of the following topics: diaspora, history, identity. 2 - 4 artists will be selected.

Deadline to submit: May 1, 2020.
