Online Sashiko Mending Workshop

In this workshop, learn to visibly mend garments with holes or tears with sashiko with Anna-Marie Janzen. Sashiko is a decorative Japanese technique that reinforces damaged textiles. To ensure the safety of participants and to follow social distancing requirements this workshop will take place online over Zoom.

Registration fee: $15 (MCML members); $20 (Non-members)

Supplies: * – not included in the supply kit

  • Scrap denim and other fabric for patching
  • Thread
  • Needles
  • Marking chalk
  • Scissors *
  • Ruler *
  • Pinking shears (optional) *
  • Iron *
  • Ironing board *

Kit fee: $7 **Optional** For those who do not already have the required supplies a supply kit can be purchased. Please note that scissors, ruler, pinking shears, iron, and ironing boards are not included in the supply kit.
