"I am a self-taught artist who uses sketching and expressionism as a form of statement and self-care. The volume of work I have been producing during the pandemic has been substantial. As an artist living with a mental illness, I have found the pandemic both trying and motivating. With this in mind, this exhibition will explore mental health and illness during a pandemic. Social isolation in people with mental illness is a common problem. With the forced isolation and quarantine during the Covid-19 pandemic those with mental illness as well as those with no previous mental illness have had to adjust and deal with the consequences of isolation on their mental wellbeing. This exhibition will feature the stories and portraits of others seeking to maintain mental wellness during these difficult times as well as artwork created during the pandemic. Follow me on Instagram at L.Zastre_Art to view more of my artwork."
Free pre-packaged snacks will be provided. Sitting is limited so feel free to bring a lawn chair.
