Winnipeg Arts Council: Restart Organizational Development Grant

The Winnipeg Arts Council is offering small and medium sized incorporated not-for-profit arts organizations the opportunity to request support for small organizational development projects. Qualifying organizations may seek funding of up to $1,000 for short turnaround, quick projects that help strengthen governance, policy, management or planning as the arts community looks to a post-pandemic future.

The grant supports activities that will help strengthen your organization. This may include costs associated with such things as policy review, strategic planning, staff training or board development. Organizations looking to undertake cultural awareness or antiracism training may apply for associated costs.

To be eligible, organizations must have budgets with revenues that are normally (i.e. pre-pandemic) under $1 million annually.

Eligible costs include fees paid to professional service providers and materials directly related to the proposal only. Administrative overhead, as well as dues, fees or accreditation costs are not considered.

For more information, please review the guidelines which you will find on the Grants for Organizations page and contact Dominic Lloyd, Program & Arts Development Manager, with any questions.

This is a limited-time grant opportunity. Requests to this program will be assessed in two groups. The first group will include any applications received up to 4:00 pm on Thursday October 7. This includes those already received by WAC. A second deadline will occur at 4:00 pm on Thursday November 18. Should you submit an application in October which is not recommended for funding, you will have the opportunity to re-submit the same application in November or present a new one.
