ADULT GROUP CLASSES

BETCHA' CAN PLAY THIS (INTRO GUITAR)

Adults 16+

TUESDAYS | 5:30 – 6:30 PM | October 19 – November 23
COST: $120 | INSTRUCTOR: Nolan Powell | In-person

This six week, student centered course is designed to address the specific interests of the students and increase their ability and confidence with the guitar. Content will be driven by their current relationship with music and how they wish to see it develop in the future. Students will receive guidance and direction related to playing guitar at an entry level, and cover topics including correct posture, basic notation reading including tablature and chord charts, and how to pick up a guitar at any time and make music with friends or by themselves. Expect to come out of the six weeks with new chords under your fingers, and the ability to make sense of any resource to help you jam to your favourite tracks.

Youth GROUP CLASSES

princesses, heroes & singing – oh my!

AGES 8-11

MONDAYS | 5:15 – 6:15 PM | November 8 – December 13
COST: $120 | INSTRUCTOR: Shauna Martin | In-person

Sing like a Princess, a Hero or both!
This beginner group singing lesson provides individual attention while giving new singers the confidence of singing in a group. Repertoire will be chosen from students' favourite princess and hero themed movies and musicals. Students will have an opportunity to work on their individual and group singing skills. Parents are invited to join us in the final class for a short performance. Join us on our singing adventure!

** As this is an in-person class, we require proof of full vaccination, to be presented at the first lesson**

vibrato & shifting for violin

SKILL LEVEL – BOOK 2 SUZUKI/ GRADE 3 RCM
SUNDAY | 2:00 – 3:30 PM | November 14
COST: $35 | INSTRUCTOR: Domanie Billinghurst-Schadek | Virtual

Learn the basic techniques for shifting and vibrato including left have exercises, games, new repertoire and adding new skills to review pieces. Both violinists and violists are welcome! At the end of the 90 minute workshop you should be able to play small phrases in up to 5 different positions, and understand the foundations of vibrato development. Students should be RCM Level 3 and up, or mid-Book 2 Suzuki and higher.

early childhood GROUP CLASSES

family music mornings

AGES 1-4 yrs

THURSDAYS | 9:30 – 10:15 AM | November 4 – December 2
COST: $60 | INSTRUCTOR: McKenna Ogg | Virtual

Introduce your children to early musical concepts such as keeping time and matching pitch using familiar nursery rhymes and silly songs. We will sing, groove, and play along to music in a space where each child can participate at their own level. This group is a great option for siblings and caregivers to explore music together.
