Volunteer, Community Outreach, and Program Coordinator


Assist the Artistic Director and Outreach Manager by participating as a team member to accomplish the following tasks:

Volunteer Recruitment

  • Confirm past volunteer house concert hosts and recruit new additional volunteer concert hosts in selected regions and communities across Canada to finalize regional touring circuits for the 2017-18 National concert season of over 700 performances by 64 acts who will tour through regional communities from the Maritime Provinces to YT and NT.

Community Outreach

  • Develop, produce and distribute materials required by volunteer concert hosts to promote and produce their concert series and individual artists. Materials include online promotional tools, such as artist profiles and concert information generated using WordPress.
  • Research and write press releases/information bulletins regarding the organization's goals, volunteer requirements/benefits, touring artists and concert series. Communicate with community organizations, schools, media representatives and concert hosts.
  • Update website and social media.

Artist Support and Liaison

  • Develop, produce and distribute musicians' touring information for September 2017 tours.
  • Communicate with musicians as required.

Other Related Duties


  • Post-secondary student returning to studies after September 2, 2017.
  • Bilingual with excellent French and English written and spoken communications skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including MSOffice, WordPress. Knowledge of graphic design programs including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator would be helpful.
