Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada: Call to Artists, Application Deadline June 12
Throw caution to the wind and let your imagination take flight!
The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada is pleased to launch its 3rd annual AIRBORNE ART PROJECT. This year we would like to be more inclusive with the fantastic art community in Winnipeg. We want to reach more artists and provide greater exposure for the participating artists and the project.
The Airborne Art Project provides authentic aircraft materials and asks the artist to give them new life by transforming a piece of history into a work of art. There is no theme, style, or medium restrictions, artists are encouraged to let their fancy fly.
Your art work will be displayed for the public in the Museum and may be auctioned during our special Out of the Blue Gala. Our always sold-out Gala is our major fundraising event. The Gala takes place in our hangar surround by historic aircraft and is supported by leaders in the business and aerospace industry. It offers excellent exposure for artists.
No matter which route we take to fundraise, all artists will be credited. The project is also highlighted in our print and online publications.
We thank all submissions, the Museum will contact artists it wishes to participate and arrange a pick-up time for the aircraft parts.
