City of St. Albert: Call to Artists - Butterflies in the Park, Submission Deadline February 8

We are looking for artists to create butterfly-inspired artworks to be installed in the St. Albert Botanic Park for our Butterflies in the Park Project!

Budget: $1,000/artist

Deadline for Submissions: Feb 8, 2018, 2:00 pm MST

This opportunity is meant to inspire emerging artists to create public art for our City. We know applying to one of our public art calls can be an intimidating process, but this is a chance for those with no or little experience in the public art field to explore creating long-term pieces for their community.

Eligible artists are living in, studying in or exhibiting art in St. Albert. "Emerging Artist" means artists with less than five years' professional practice, which means that if you work well collaboratively and make art, you need no experience as a professional artist. Both High School and University students are encouraged to apply!

We are looking for two artists to create one small 3D butterfly-inspired artwork each to be temporarily installed for two years in the St. Albert Botanic Park. The City will be responsible for installing the artworks.

Please note this is an announcement. If you would like to submit a proposal, you will be required to complete the Call to Artists – ITT17-0087. For complete information or to reach the Coordinator to ask questions regarding this Call to Artists please contact:
