Martha Street Studio: Imprint: 30th Anniversary Members' Show and Markings: Manitoba Printmakers Association, June 28 - July 28

Exhibition dates: June 28 - July 28, 2018
Opening reception: Thursday June 28, 6-9 pm

Imprint is a members' exhibition and sale, featuring print-based artwork from current members of Martha Street Studio (MSS). The exhibition marks the 30 year anniversary of the incorporation of the Manitoba Printmakers Association (MPA) and is presented alongside Markings: Manitoba Printmakers Association.

Markings encompasses a selection of material illustrating 30 years of printmaking from MPA's history. The Board of Directors, with the assistance of Abigail Auld, researched MPA's roots, resurrection, growth and changes, to present a display of MPA archives.

Imprint and Markings will be on view from June 28 - July 28, 2018.

For the duration of the exhibitions, MSS will be accepting donations for the North Point Douglas Women's Centre. Items needed include:

  • nonperishable food items
  • baby wipes
  • baby formula
  • diapers (size 3-6 preferred)

The 30 year anniversary events are sponsored by the Thomas Sill Foundation and The Winnipeg Foundation.

The opening reception is free to attend and open to the public. The gallery is open to the public and is open Tuesday - Friday from 10 am - 5 pm, and Saturday from 12 - 5 pm. We are closed Saturdays of long weekends.
