Weather Parade dance theatre is made up of established Winnipeg dance artists Ali Robson and Natasha Torres-Garner and was formed in the fall of 2015, as an ad hoc collective to create a new work, A Small Idea, for the 2016 Winnipeg Fringe Festival.

At the heart of Weather Parade is a love for discovery and play by using the physical form of dance to deeply investigate human relationships. We believe/trust that the body is the strongest communicator and from there search for ways to express ideas, emotions, images and stories to which a diverse audience can relate. Weather Parade dance theatre aims to make work that relates to audiences of all ages through creative, playful movement vocabulary and abstract theatrical narratives.

Weather Parade dance theatre is inspired to find new ways of creating immediate and spontaneous artist audience relationships through the vision that an idea, no matter how big or small or complicated can be made beautiful and relatable through movement and play and curiosity. Weather Parade is committed to the idea that an audience member, no matter how small or big, can stand to gain from interacting with the arts and with dance.
