About the Artist:

Zeljko (Jack) Dermek was born in 1943, and raised in a village named DonjaBistra Croatia. He then moved to Canada in the spring of 1967, where he went on to raise three boys.

He is a self-taught artist with a style that is a blend between realism and abstract. His love of color and nature are very evident in his work. He had several showings at The Bay Art Gallery. He worked as a display artist at The Bay.

He also owned an art gallery (Zeljko's Gallery) where he highlighted not only himself, but up and coming local young artists with varying art forms (painting, sculpture--wood and metal).

About the show:

The works in this show are heavily influenced by Pablo Picasso. There will be abstract and representational work. The different styles make it unexpected. From fruits and vegetables to birds and abstract work.
