From the artist:
We will be creating a looping, gif-style, walk cycle animation. Participants will contribute by drawing individual frames that will later be photographed and assembled in Photoshop. We will use the Timeline feature to animate our walk cycle. There will be markers and pens available but please bring your favourite drawing tools if you prefer!
Matea Radic is a visual artist from Sarajevo, BiH. She lives and works in Winnipeg, Canada. Her work explores the effect of trauma and displacement on the concept of "home." Through her work, Matea seeks to unlock personal trauma buried in her own subconscious in hopes of reconciling the heavy feeling surrounding her sphere. Matea's work reflects a constant attempt to understand her place in the world, both mentally and physically. She seeks peace and the allowing of past lives to pass through so that she can be present. She is a hopeful cynic.
