International Festival of Winter Cinema: Call for Submissions, Application Deadline December 31 Regular Deadline, January 25 (Late Deadline)

International Festival of Winter Cinema - CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

The International Festival of Winter Cinema, set in chilly Edmonton, recognizes and celebrates local and international cinema with winter, mountain, and polar themes of any style or genre, with a focus on films featuring indigenous people, immigrants, winter life, or address climate change. We are the world's only winter film festival that takes place outside in a winter city and pay artist fees to all competition films.

Submissions are now open for our 2019 event. Like last year, we are looking for films that take place in winter, whatever winter looks like in your part of the world. Our newest feature is our non-competition Open Screen program, where we will devote the entire first weekend to screen films by Alberta filmmakers or set in Alberta, whether or not they include winter.

Please submit your films through FilmFreeway (https://filmfreeway.com/IFWinterCinema) before fees increase in January.
