The Winnipeg Arts Council has partnered with Theatre Projects Manitoba to create a new Indigenous Arts Leaders Fellowship position. The Indigenous Arts Leaders Fellowship was established in 2018 by the Winnipeg Arts Council to provide First Nations, Métis, or Inuit arts and cultural administration professionals with a specialized opportunity to become immersed in the community of contemporary arts creation and presentation in Winnipeg.

The Fellow will receive mentoring and work on professional development & management skills including not-for-profit governance, financial and human resources management and leadership. Working with the TPM leadership – General Manager, Rea Kavanagh & Artistic Director, Ardith Boxall, the Fellow will support and contribute to projects in administration, marketing & communications and programming & outreach to get a well-rounded picture of the workings of a small, successful arts organization. The Fellow will attend staff and Board meetings as required and represent TPM at public performances.

Applicants for this position must commit to the term from January 6, 2020 to September 30, 2020 inclusive. The position is based on three days (24 hours) per week, with flexibility that includes evening and weekend hours.
