Winnipeg artists devastated by fire at 274 Jarvis
The Winnipeg Arts Council was saddened to hear of the devastating fire at 274 Jarvis Avenue on Monday morning. This facility contained the studios, artwork, equipment, and archives of over 2 dozen visual and performing artists, all of which has been lost. Winnipeg’s artists are the primary source of creative activity in our city and we extend our sympathies to the community which has done so much to make Winnipeg a city of the arts.
