Celebrate WITH ART at the NorWest Community Food Centre

Please join us on Friday, May 12, 11:30am – 1:30pm to celebrate the official opening of a new public art installation at the NorWest Community Food Centre, 103-61 Tyndall Avenue, created by artist Gurpreet Sehra with NorWest Co-op through the Winnipeg Arts Council’s WITH ART community public art program.

Painted in bold colours on ceramic tiles wheat-pasted with printed fabric, Social Seed celebrates the history of the Burrows-Keewatin area.  The imagery is based on a map from the early 1970’s centred around the NorWest Co-op, an organization that has served to fuel the development of the neighbourhood since that time.

Drop in for brief remarks by the artist and community at 11:45am and/or RSVP by May 9 if you would like to stay for lunch!
