The front doors to the Winnipeg Arts Council's building are locked. For access, please give us a call upon your arrival at 204-943-7668 and a staff member will let you in. To access the ramp and buzzer, please use the condo building’s North entrance (smaller door closer to William Ave) and key in 11019. Once inside, buzz #817 and a staff member will come to open the door.

Tanya Christensen has been an integral part of the Winnipeg Arts Council since 1998, bringing a wealth of experience and understanding of the organization's history. With a background in Human Resource Management and accounting, she ensures the smooth operation and financial stability of WAC.

tamara rae biebrich

Public Art Manager

tamara rae (she/they) works with artists, communities, and City Administration to integrate art into Winnipeg’s public spaces. She is a settler living on Treaty 1 Territory, in the Homeland of the Red River Métis, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Manitoba. Her art practice included visual art, craft, performance, and community projects.

Sam McLean

Sam McLean (he/him) is an arts administration professional and life-long Winnipegger. Sam has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Film from the University of Winnipeg and has been working in arts administration since 2018. He has been performing on Winnipeg Fringe Festival stages since 2010 and is an experienced improviser, host and comedy writer.

Ruhi Proshun

Ruhi Proshun has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Business Management from the University of Manitoba. Ruhi has worked with the provincial government and has extensive experience working with NGOs, with a focus on social justice and international relations.
