ART TALK/ART WALK: Graffiti - the Writing’s on the Wall! In the Street, the Galleries, and our own Spaces

Graffiti comes from artists working in raw, gritty, urban environments, communicating high-impact messages that range from simple signatures to political statements. As an urban disruptor, it is a globally recognized medium of artistic expression and is deeply rooted in today’s contemporary, visual culture.

On November 3, at Graffiti Gallery, Susan Freig will moderate an Art Talk with Pat Lazo, co-founder and Artistic Director of the Gallery.

We will also tour the international Graffiti exhibit, Wet Paint, which was brought to Winnipeg for Graffiti Gallery’s 25th anniversary.

This exhibit is curated by Dave “Persue” Ross and Wane 1, two experienced, commercially successful Graffiti artists, and includes the work of many other international Graffiti artists.
