Barb Hunt Exhibition: The birds sing so sweetly- they don’t know there’s a war going on

In her latest exhibition, The birds sing…, artist Barb Hunt continues a decades-long investigation into the impacts of armed conflict. Here, combat fatigues worn by soldiers from many nations serve as muse, collaborator, and human proxy, their varied camouflage patterns hiding and revealing complex ideas, beliefs, and resonances related to war.⁠ ⁠ This project was made possible through the generous support of the Manitoba Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts, and Winnipeg Arts Council.
