Befriending the Speedball B Nib with Janet Murata

Launched in 1916, the Speedball B nib has a round shaped bent tip or "shoe". It easily creates uniform width lines and sans serif letters. A versatile nib that can create informal lettering styles such as found in vintage comics as well as more stylized decorative art nouveau variations. Come join us for this introductory level course.

Janet Murata is a Winnipeg based nurse turned calligrapher and artist. Through her Michiko Craft business, Janet provides live event calligraphy, teaching, commissioned calligraphy and art, as well as prints and greeting cards, carried in local stores.
