Call for Indigenous Makers: University of Winnipeg Indigenous Makers Market

The University of Winnipeg campus art gallery, Gallery 1C03, in partnership with the University's Office of Indigenous Engagement, Indigenous Student Services Centre and Indigenous Students Association, is looking for submissions to our first ever Indigenous Makers Market.

WHO: This call is open to Indigenous makers, including Indigenous makers who are UWinnipeg students and staff.

WHAT: All media are accepted: examples may include beadwork, embroidery, quillwork, needlecraft, quilt work, moccasins, jewelry, regalia, photographs, prints, paintings, drawings, cards, ceramics, glass, woodworking, bath and body products. Work must be of original design; it may be functional, decorative, or conceptual. No food please.

WHEN: The market will take place Thursday, November 28, 2024, 12:00 - 8:00 pm

WHERE: The University of Winnipeg, 515 Portage Avenue

Tables will be set up on the first floor of Centennial Hall in front of Gallery 1C03, beside the Student Info Booth, and in the atrium in front of Riddell cafeteria.

COST: There is no table fee. Makers can choose a full table or a half table. Tables are 6' x 2 1/2'. We have capacity for 18 tables.
