From season to season - Marc Beaudry
“To express oneself with whatever small means that are within our reach and by that very fact allow ourselves to be surprised by the results… such is the essence of artistic creation.”
- Marc Beaudry
Marc Beaudry is a Manitoba artist and retired educator. During the summer months, he scours the banks of the Red River for pieces of cottonwood bark, which he then carves into so as to extract the forms and images hidden within. During the winter months, he picks up his brush again and on blank canvases he brings to life, in strong colors and simple forms, landscapes and faces that have captured his imagination.
