Go for the Unknown with Alissa Watson

This masterclass will focus on using clown and physical theatre techniques for cultivating play, accessing impulses, and the experience of failing with pleasure. An afternoon of expanding your comfort as we go for the unknown.

About the Artist

Born and raised on Treaty 1 territory, Alissa is a desired collaborator, artist, and educator whose passions include physical comedy and “clowning around”. Alissa has studied with clown greats John Turner, Deanna Fleysher, Nathaniel Justiniano, and Karen Hines. She is a founding member of the clown duo, The Red Nose Diaries, and Winnipeg's all-female bouffon ensemble, The Talentless Lumps. Alissa is currently pursuing her MFA in Directing at the University of Alberta. In her free time, she sings and plays the washboard with the sweet and cheeky, Fu Fu Chi Chi Choir.
