MAD about TRAD Jazz Party

The Crescent Arts Centre presents the “MAD about TRAD Jazz Party”, a weekend packed with music, live and contour sketching and swing dancing all wrapped in the warm joy of the wonderful music from the 1920s.

The weekend features a band made up of musicians from Whitehorse, Yukon, Vancouver and Winnipeg who will deliver workshops on how to play hot jazz and swing. Workshops run throughout the day and include the music workshops, live sketching and contour sketching workshops and swing dance workshops.

In the evening the band will take the stage and the dancers can take the dance floor and the sketchers can set up at their stations and the party will begin.

This program was made possible with support from New Horizons Seniors Funding and The Crescent Fort Rouge United Church 55+ Programs, Crescent Arts Centre Programs and JazzYukon Programs.
