Spencerian Calligraphy

Spencerian calligraphy is an elegant pointed pen script developed in the 19th century for speed and efficiency in business and personal correspondence. In this workshop, we will focus on the script’s basic strokes and letterforms and the pen techniques required to produce its’ characteristic shades and hairlines.

Join us for an in-person workshop followed with three Wednesday evening Zoom sessions to deepen one's practice through homework, correction, and group practice. For those unable to attend the Wednesday Zoom sessions, recordings will be available for a three month period. Students of all levels of experience are welcome to register.
