Resilience

Resilience is a short documentary about the team at REES (Reaching E-Quality Employment Services) talking about the struggles of job hunting faced by people with physical disabilities and health conditions. This is a tough topic. These are the right people to help us understand the issues involved and the right attitude and strategies needed to succeed. The documentary includes members of the REES staff, board, community partners and program participants offering advice and support through this unique organization.

Resilience was created by Kevin Nikkel with REES. The short film was commissioned by the Winnipeg Arts Council through the WITH ART program for the City of Winnipeg Public Art Collection.

The film premiered on September 21, 2022 and was celebrated with a community drop-in event at REES. Watch it now!
