Public Art Tours

Jane's Walk

We hope you will join us for our Jane's Walk, "What makes a public artwork?"

We will take a small stroll through St. Boniface, following the path of thought artist Michel de Broin took to create his local public artwork, "Monument". Our discussion will surround the meaning of the artwork, as well as the meaning of public art in general and what separates it from other public works such as monuments or memorials.

Jane's Walk is a movement of free, citizen-led walking tours inspired by Jane Jacobs. The walks get people to tell stories about their communities, explore their cities, and connect with neighbours.
