2025 Mayor’s Luncheon for the Arts

June 5, 2025 — The Mayor's Luncheon for the Arts, held on Thursday, June 5th, was a resounding success, bringing the community together to celebrate and support the arts. It was an afternoon full of laughter, music and celebration hosted by local favourite Natalie Bell, also known as @pegcitylovely. The event featured an energetic performance from NAfro Dance Productions and a new poem read by Winnipeg Poet Laureate Jennifer Still.

Mayor Scott Gillingham - after a spirited dance session with NAfro - addressed the enthusiastic crowd, highlighting the importance of the arts in enriching Winnipeg’s cultural fabric, and congratulated the 2024 City of Song programming organized by the Winnipeg Arts Council in celebration of Winnipeg's 150th anniversary.

This celebration recognizes the efforts and achievements of artists and arts administrators who have made a significant impact both locally and internationally.
