Art From the Attic

Since May Grands 'n' More Winnipeg has been collecting art ready to hang on a wall, all of which has been donated by generous residents of the city and area. Our volunteers have received, transported, cleaned, evaluated and priced more than 4000 pieces of vast diversity when it comes to market value, subject matter, media, genres and age. Original art sold a century ago through Eaton's art galleries appeared alongside contemporary items. Works by artists of local, national and international renown, including stunning indigenous works, appeared alongside the efforts of enthusiastic amateurs. Very large and very small pieces arrived, suitable for display in large corporate or residential spaces or the smallest powder room.

There are pieces that will appeal to all ages and all tastes- Art From the Attic is truly a treasure hunt!

Proceeds of the sale benefit grandmothers in 14 sub-Saharan countries on the African continent who have borne the brunt of the AIDS pandemic, raising orphaned grandchildren, defending property rights and finding sources of income generation, advocating for income supports for the elderly from their governments, and advocating in a wider sense for healthy flourishing communities that have left behind the scourge of HIV and AIDS, especially in the lives of girls and women. The Stephen Lewis Foundation provides funding to community-based local organisations that are best placed to identify and meet local needs. For more info, see: https://grandmotherscampaign.o...
