La rencontre : un thé performatif - Exposition

This summer, you are invited to attend La Rencontre, a performative tea. The seemingly simple act of taking tea is shaped by diverse cultural traditions, colonial histories, and personal narratives. In partnership with Urban Shaman, this event brings together live performance, participatory ritual, and personal reflection around the frameworks and rituals for making and drinking tea.

Curated by Fait Maison (Thomas Grondin, Anna Khimasia and Theo Pelmus), with works by artists KC Adams, Jaime Black, Freya Olafson, Reza Rezaï, Fredrick Lyle Spence, and Camille-Zoé Valcourt-Synnott.

Following the Performance Night on July 10th, an exhibition of the performative tea will open July 17 in the Contemporary Gallery of La Maison des artistes visuels francophones.
