Michael Dumontier & Neil Farber: SUNS SET

Fire Door presents new and recent work by Winnipeg-based artist duo Michael Dumontier and Neil Farber. Included in the exhibition are paintings from their ongoing projects "Animals with Sharpies" and "Flowers," silkscreen prints, and a new sculpture from their "Book Stacks" series, marking the first time one of their sculptural works has been shown in their home town of Winnipeg.

Dumontier and Farber’s practice is the remaining link to the former Royal Art Lodge, the celebrated and prolific collective that was active both locally and internationally beginning in the late 1990s. Dumontier and Farber work collaboratively, developing ongoing series of works through weekly marathon studio sessions, alongside the individual practices they also maintain.
