Minds in Bloom Fundraising Luncheon & Artistic Design Competition

The Minds in Bloom Fundraising Luncheon & Artistic Design Competition, presented in partnership with Artbeat Studio, is an event that aims to connect the transformative power of art with the mental health community. This unique initiative invites Manitoba artists to create 3D mixed-media floral-inspired artworks that explore themes of mental health, resilience, and healing. Through this competition and exhibition, we are fostering an inclusive space where creativity can serve as a catalyst for conversation, healing, and awareness about mental health challenges faced by youth.

The top 30 artists selected by Artbeat Studio will receive a human head-shaped vase to display their design during the Minds in Bloom Luncheon, which will take place on May 15, 2025, at The Fort Garry Hotel. The event will feature a curated art exhibition, where these creative pieces will be showcased and auctioned to raise funds for MDAM’s youth mental health initiatives. In addition to the art auction, the event will include an inspiring speaker panel with leaders from both the mental health and arts communities, further emphasizing the vital role art can play in supporting mental health.

The proceeds raised will go directly toward MDAM’s efforts to provide support, resources, and peer-led programming for youth navigating mental health struggles.
