Postcards from the World: An Urban Nature Writing Workshop

Wild turkeys roaming the back alleys. Coyotes running down the street. Canada Geese roosting on rooftops. What does it mean to slow down and pay attention to the urban ecosystem? What lives in the urban forest with us?

Join Writer-in-Residence Ariel Gordon for a writing workshop where participants will spend time with the flora/fauna/funga around the Windsor Park Library. Through a series of creative writing exercises, we will focus on closely observing urban nature and write about what we see/hear/smell/taste. The workshop will conclude with some focused writing and discussion time in the library.

Attendees should wear appropriate footwear and clothing to spend time outdoors.
