Reimagining Material Ecologies with PAIRIDAEZA — a conversation and workshop with Helga Jakobson & designers Yasaman Kashani and Madeleine Dafoe
Join the PAIRIDAEZA team for a closing talk about the process and ideas behind their immersive “walled paradise” installation. They’ll share their interpretation of Persian gardens, the geometry of Persian carpet designs, and how themes of waste and reuse shaped their work.
A hands-on workshop and conversation about materiality and “reworlding” will follow, led by Helga Jakobson. As both an artist and Sustainability Coordinator at The Forks, Jakobson helped PAIRIDAEZA collect over a thousand cans from The Forks. Jakobson will guide participants in an art-building exercise to activate imaginations and explore the incredible power that creative practices offer in reimagining future ecologies.
