SENSATIONAL - An International Kathak Ensemble

On September 14, 2025, the stage in Winnipeg will light up with the electrifying presence of internationally acclaimed Kathak artists Shri Abhimanyu Lal and Smt. Varsha Lal. This stop, a rare inclusion in their Canadian tour, is made possible only through deep-rooted artistic connections and a shared commitment to the classical arts.

Abhimanyu Lal and his wife Varsha Lal are renowned Kathak artists from India, known for their expressive style, dynamic performances and innovative group work. This special Winnipeg performance is presented in collaboration with Mudra School of Indian Classical Dance (Toronto), led by Pooja Sathe Kulkarni, a well-known Kathak teacher and advocate for Indian classical arts in Canada.

Everyone cannot travel to Kathak Kendra or the cultural Hallways of Fame, so we are bringing the experience here, a rare moment of joy, depth, and spiritual awakening, born for such a time as this. We encourage our Winnipeg Community to attend this show and support arts and culture in the province.
