Solo Exhibition by Katharine Bruce: Prayers and Secrets at Soul Gallery

Soul Gallery is pleased to present Prayers and Secrets, a solo exhibition by Katharine Bruce, from September 18 - October 3, 2025.

Opening reception to be held September 18, 2025, from 6 - 9 pm, featuring live music and refreshments.

Artist Statement:

LIFE. Breathing. Sitting quietly. Riding my bicycle. Communing with animals. Listening.

All of these things and so much more are the inspiration that moves me to create.

Daily I go into my studio with an open heart, a willingness to explore my medium, and trust what flows through my body. What comes is a line, a choosing of a colour, a brushstroke. It’s all magic to me. My job is to step out of the way. Slowly, with patience, layer upon layer, something begins to appear. What you see here are the results of this process during the past year. I hope you can feel, resonate and enjoy the work.

My work changes from year to year as do I because I am always asking: what is life.
