Stained Glass Workshop – an artist’s approach with Sarah Ciurysek
Saturday, October 18, 2025
1:00pm – 4:00pm
MAWA, 329 Cumberland Ave, Suite 203, Winnipeg, MB
All welcome! Spaces are limited (20). Cost: $50/person
This hands-on workshop will include foiling and soldering of pre-cut glass, to introduce participants to the medium. Ciurysek will also delve into the art/craft divide, other contemporary artists’ use of stained glass and why she was drawn to the medium for her current exhibition at Platform, Through, and through. Glass carries its own history and conceptual meanings. Come explore the medium, experiment and create a small piece featuring bevelled glass. All participants will have the option of exhibiting their completed pieces on the Platform Members’ Wall in the Artspace lobby in November.
Sarah Ciurysek (she/her) is a Canadian settler artist exploring the relationships we have with the ground.
