A Jaunt in St. James

A Jaunt in St. James is a guided 3.5km walking conversation in Winnipeg’s St. James Ward. The walk will highlight the area’s happenings, history, and hidden gems. Jaunting through West Wolseley and Bruce Park, participants will gain insight into the changes, constants, and charms.

Meeting Place

Meet at the footbridge in Omand Park (on the north side of the Assiniboine River, up the hill from the baseball diamond).

I will be wearing a bright coloured article of clothing, carrying a pail, and sporting a portable microphone/megaphone.

Accessibility

Most of the walk is accessible (i.e., for mobility aids/devices, strollers, bikes and other wheels); majority of the walk will be on the road (as there are no sidewalks in some areas) or along multi-use paths of varying terrains; there are a couple of steep slopes to ascend/descend (but alternative meeting spots are available if access is a barrier). Tour will be in English.
