Participants will explore beautiful West Broadway, a thriving inner-city neighbourhood with a long and diverse history. From its beginnings as a wealthy suburb for Winnipeg's elite, our community has grown into a hip hub for arts, culture and independent businesses. Our main streets feature dozens of heritage homes and apartments, while our business district has been transformed into one of the densest urban art galleries in Winnipeg, with 40 murals squeezed into a 3.5km walk.
This tour will visit 40 different murals and public art works, along with dozens of heritage buildings, spread across the historic West Broadway Neighbourhood. There will be a brief stop on Sherbrook St to enjoy a free snack, courtesy of West Broadway's business community.
