The Winnipeg Arts Council invites local* artists working in visual and/or media arts to submit Expressions of Interest for an Artist-in-Residence project working with the City of Winnipeg’s Land Use and Planning Division, Climate Change Office. The selected artist will be in residence for a nine month period beginning in June 2014.

*Artists must reside in, or in close proximity to, Winnipeg.

On April 2 there was an on-site meeting to engage in a conversation about the residency opportunity. Here are some of the questions that were addressed at that meeting.

Budget: $22,500 (based on $2500 artist fee per month; a further budget for the creation of plans, artworks or interventions will be established following an extensive consultation period).

Interested artists must submit a complete application package to be considered.
