Red River College Innovation Centre Public Art Project

The Winnipeg Arts Council was engaged by Red River College to consult and collaborate on the integration of artwork into a major new development in the Exchange District. A bold and layered design by local Anishinaabe artist Jackie Traverse will be integrated into the ceiling and soffit of Manitou a bi Bii daziigae on Elgin Avenue. Morning Star by Anishinaabe/Nêhiyaw/British artist KC Adam will be integrated into the Roundhouse Auditorium.







Invitational Competition for Indigenous Artists from RED RIVER COLLEGE

This page and the documents available below are for Indigenous artists who have been invited by Red River College to submit proposals for consideration to work with a project team to integrate public art into the City Room ceiling and southeast exterior soffit as part of the construction of their  new Innovation Centre on Elgin Avenue in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba, located on Treaty 1 territory.

The Winnipeg Arts Council has been engaged to facilitate the Artwork Selection Process.
