Call to Artists for Expressions of Interest and Preliminary Concepts

The Winnipeg Arts Council and Downtown Winnipeg BIZ invite artists (and artist teams) with a connection to Winnipeg’s Chinatown to submit expressions of interest to create artwork for street banners installed throughout this unique neighbourhood in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba, located on Treaty 1 Territory.

Unlike a conventional district branding exercise, the selected artist/team will create a cohesive body of vibrant, thought-provoking contemporary artwork. The selected artist/team will be responsible for creating at least eight original artworks and providing high-resolution digital files for digital output on seventeen (17) double-sided banners. The Downtown Winnipeg BIZ will fabricate and install the banners.

Artist Fee: $5,000
Deadline: March 6, 2023 at 5pm
