Three-year Operating Grants and two-year Program Support Grants make contributions to the operations of incorporated established arts organizations with a continuing presence in Winnipeg throughout the year or seasonally, and a track record of high-quality programming or services. Multi-year grants support a range of activities and art forms, reflecting different cultural traditions and art practices. Arts organizations receiving support are expected to advance the development of their art forms, to participate in the development of local artists, to maintain public support, and to practice strict management and financial controls.

Arts organizations are invited to apply to either the two-year or three-year program depending on a variety of factors including budget size, scope of programming, and number of staff. All organizations receiving multi-year grants must have a history of consistent programming/presentation and public support and must provide regular reporting to ensure that they continue to meet the objectives of the program.

In 2024, Multiyear Grant deadlines fall on November 19. Program Support (two-year grant) organizations are required to submit a new application while Operating (three year grant) organizations must submit an interim report.

Eligibility: Due to budgetary constraints, acceptance into this program for new applicants is limited. Currently, applications are accepted by invitation only. Please contact the Program & Arts Development Manager for more information.

Program Support Grant Application — November 19, 2024

All organizations receiving Program Support Grants are required to submit a new application for the 2025 and 2026 cycle. Applicants must create an Organizational profile on GoSmart and applications must be submitted using this system. For questions about the application or the program, please contact Dominic Lloyd, Program & Arts Development Manager.

This program is only open to organizations which have been invited to apply.

Operating Grant Interim Report — November 19, 2024

All organizations receiving Operating Grants are required to submit an Interim Report to be eligible for their 2025 grant. Applicants must use the same GoSmart login used to submit the application in December 2023. For questions, please contact the Winnipeg Arts Council.
